My most recent work is influenced by the science of Yoga and explores the way in which our thoughts and bodies are inextricably connected. The thread of thought and the physical body can become entangled and knotted so tightly together that they appear as one and the same.

Through the practice of yoga and meditation, we can begin to peel away the layers of conditioning that exist in the corporal and subtle bodies to find what lies beneath. In the same way that we can be bound by the body/mind connection, through the cultivation of mindfulness, we can also transcend it.

Although meditation is considered to be a tremendously liberating practice, this work acknowledges that it can be extremely painful and challenging to look at one’s self and accept the bondage that is created by our own thoughts.
